This project began as part of Georgetown University’s Initiative for Technology Enhanced Learning (ITEL) in January 2016 (https://itel.georgetown.edu/projects/francomano/). This prototype of The Libro de Buen Amor / The Book of Good Love Online, built with a seed grant from Georgetown University’s Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship (CNDLS), demonstrates our minimum viable product criteria. We have used the digitized Manuscript S of the Libro de buen amor and the Hispanic Seminary of Medieval Studies’ machine-readable transcription for our images and base text. In July of 2017 we established a collaborative relationship with the University of Salamanca’s Biblioteca Histórica (https://bibliotecahistorica.usal.es/).
